Biography
Sisare tells stories from other realities, offering imaginary voyages to alternative forms of life and taking deep journeys into a human mind while still trying to make a relation to our real world. If the world doesn't come to an end soon, Sisare will continue to play progressive metal music and tell stories as a quartet. And if the end comes, who will need quartets anymore?
If you need this quartet, you'd better have a table full of tea, coffee and cakes waiting for them since that is absolutely the best way to tempt these four men to pay a visit - or to play their music.

History
You see the kind of thing happening in the countryside. Farmer boys gathering behind the barn or cowshed in misty mornings. Only, behind this particular shed, those boys where musicians and they were there because of their rehearsal. Long evenings with jamming, cooking and taking the heat up in sauna started a way back, but this particular group was formed in that very same cowshed in 2008. Friends Marko, Severi, Hermanni, Ville and Timo decided to form this new group called 'Sisare'. But how did they end up there?
Timo and Hermanni were old friends and they had been playing together in a band called 'Absence'. Also Marko, Severi, Hermanni and Ville had been playing together before in a band called 'Eerie September'. When those groups were split up, the five guys united their forces.
After their first gig abroad in 2010 Severi knew that it was impossible for this group to stay in it's form since Marko and Ville where not as excited about performing live shows as the rest of the group was. The group was split up and Severi, Hermanni and Timo started to search for a new drummer - and a new "cowshed."
Severi got a hint of a good drummer called Rauli from Turku and decided to go meet with him. They met at a teatable in a chilly spring day in 2011 and had a conversation about the band. Rauli was excited about it and they agreed to have a jam to test if his musicianship would match with the rest of the group. And it did, better than expected.
Rauli was proved to be a member of Sisare and the quartet was formed. Cowshed changed to an urban hole. Misty mornings, cooking and sauna changed to hanging at cafés with a tables full of tea, coffee and cakes. Severi was now the only singer which lead him to write all the lyrics, which was a good bargain for him - he could now create a story that would follow the composition or create a composition that would follow the story.
So they told stories...
